Our beloved family dog, Trevor, passed away on Monday. We were blessed to have him in our family for nearly 15 years. He truly was the best dog you could ask for.
In his younger days, he could play frisbee for hours. Always bringing it right back to you. He never went in the street...ever. Unless you had him on a leash or told him it was ok. He loved being outside. Most weekends he spent his day outside with Dad doing whatever he was doing out there...mowing the grass, working on the pool, etc. He was Dad's right hand man.
Birthday parties were always the more fun when Trevor would "sing" happy birthday to you by howling along with everyone. He was one smart dog. It felt like he understood everything you said and would really listen to you.
Once David and I introduced Molly to the family Trevor looked after Molly whenever we were all together. And Molly gave hime good reason as she had a tendency to run off into the marsh behind Mom and Dad's house quite often. After this happened a couple of times (Trevor was inside during the first incidences) Trevor would not let Molly out of his sight whenever they were outside together. Trevor became Molly's shadow and would not let her run off again. I'm very thankful for how much he looked after her!
Claire loved Trevor so much too! And he was always so sweet and gentle to her. Claire loved to lay right next to him and love on him.
He was loved by all! We will miss him dearly!
