A Day with the Durrs: One Month Already!

Anna Kate is one month old! The past month has really flown by and we are relearning what is like to have a newborn at home...but now with a 2 year old :) So far, it has gone very smoothly. Anna Kate has fit right in. Claire continues to love her little sister so much!

At her 3 week appointment (combined the 2 week and 4 week apt since she was gaining weight pretty quickly) she weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

She usually gets up 2-3 times at night and generally goes back to sleep pretty easily. When she wakes up in the morning she is very happy and very content. She will be happy lying on the bed in Claire's room when we go to get her and on a blanket in the playroom looking at books as Mommy gets breakfast ready, cleans up, etc.

She really just goes with the flow as you kind of have to with such a busy big sister. We have been to storytimes, music class, parks, playgrounds, the botanical gardens...lots of fun places. We also got to go to Charlottesville for the day to meet Aunt Kristen and soon to be Uncle Chris for some wedding planning! She does great in the car seat which is so nice compared to how Claire was not a fan.

Claire, Anna Kate, Molly and I start off each morning with a nice walk before it gets so hot! Anna Kate just loves to take it all in on the walk and looks around or just dozes off. She wakes right up when we get home though!

She loves to sleep with her hand on her face. She looks so sweet!
