A Day with the Durrs: 14 months old!

On April 25th, Claire turned 14 months old! Her top two teeth have finally popped through. And her adorable smile is now even cuter :)

She has always loved animals. She loves dogs, seeing the animals at Blue Bird Farm, animal books, animal stuffed animals, etc. Now she can make the animal sounds for some of her favorites. She can say "baa" for sheep, "ruff" for dog, "tweat, tweat" for bird, "meow" for cat, "moo" for cow, "hiss" for snake and "honk" for goose. It seems like she learns a new one everyday!

The other day, we were telling Molly to sit for her treat. And the next thing we know, Claire is saying "sit" to Molly. Now, she says it to her all the time! And sometimes Molly even listens.

When she thinks her food is too hot, she'll say hot and will try to blow on it. Or hold it up for you to blow on it. She also is getting a lot better using her utensils. She fed herself yogurt really well with her spoon. Favorite foods are still yogurt, eggs with anything mixed in like broccoli, cheese, zucchini, etc., blackberries, melon, peanut butter crackers, and goldfish.

She has discovered zippers and loves to zip and unzip her jackets and take them off.

Instead of crawling up the stairs, she can now step up one by one holding onto something. She loves climbing onto things, the sofa, chairs, etc. At the playground, she can climb up the stairs and go down the slide all by herself!! She is getting so big!
